Blog design

Before the blog design, I looked through Florence blog. Her blog's design showed her star-image by using her spacial font, her picture and unique design, and the colours of the blog also could represent her style.

One thing I don't like on her blog is the botton part of the home page. She has the layouts of  post, photo and commets on home pages, she has a lots comments, the layout of the comments are on the right hand side behind the photo layout of the home page, all the way down to the botton with the blank left hand side, which is not very professional.

Her blog is creative, the colour of the midel layout could change in 3 different colours. And also the back ground she using are architecture. The back ground of the midel layout is kind of Japanese patten what links to her style.On the botton of the blog, there are the information of the company and some useful links, such as facebook.

I want create my blog in her style to fit our project. So I  google the font of Florence and I found a similar one in a chart room. Then I downloaded it and used it on our digipak and my blog design.

To relate our different product such as the digipak, advert and blog, We are going to use the same image on all of those product. After discussion, we decided we will use the 'Candles' image which we used in both digipak and advert.
At the end, I didn't use this image as the title image, because it dose not go with the template.

I used a horizontal tab list which is the simplest and most convient way for people when they look at my blog.  By following the task of course work, the tabs I used are 'Home','Research','Planning','Video Construction','Ancillary Task Construction', 'Evaluation' and 'Final Construction '. The reason of I created two tabs of construction is I think two tabs could make my blog more concise and easier for people to find what they are looking for. The fornt I used is 'Trebuchet' .

Template

The template I used for my blog is the one I found on http://shabbyblogs.com. This web contain free template that people could download. I choice the one I like and by flowing the tutorial, I used the template on my blog.
